Brant County Health Unit offers a prospective Public Health Inspector an outstanding opportunity to develop skills in all areas of public health inspection.
While working under supervision from the Manager, Environmental Health, the successful candidate will conduct inspections of and provide services for the following programs: Food Safety, Water Quality, Rabies Control, Health Environment, Outbreak Control and Infection Control in Institutions.
Qualified applicants must be enrolled in a full-time college or university program working towards certification as a Public Health Inspector. As well, the applicant must demonstrate exceptional communication and public relations skills. A valid Ontario driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle are also required.
Terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Administrative Policies of the Brant County Health Unit.
Wage rate: $18 per hour plus 4% vacation pay
Hours of work: 70 hours in a two-week period from May through August 2018
