School Immunization Clinics

The Brant County Health Unit provides immunization clinics for student in Grade 7, and catch-up clinics for students in Grade 7 and high school who missed one or more doses of any publicly funded vaccine.

To ensure that individuals remain safe from vaccine preventable diseases, and to maintain a high level of community protection, it is important that routine immunization is maintained despite COVID. Immunization can prevent illnesses and outbreaks that lead to unnecessary medical visits, hospitalizations and further strain to the health care system.

The Health Unit is mandated to enforce the Immunization of School Pupils Act, and assess the immunization status of children in accordance with the Immunization for Children in Schools and Licensed Child Care Settings Protocol, 2018.

If your child is not attending school in person, vaccinations can be received at the Brant County Health Unit by appointment. Please contact us at 519-753-4937 ext. 451 to schedule this visit. If you wish for your child to get vaccinated by a family doctor, please contact their office directly.
