The Ontario Food Premise Regulation requires that at least one certified food handler is present during all hours of operation. In addition to this, we recommend that everyone who works at a food premise obtain food handler training. Food service premise owner/operators are encouraged to keep copies of all food handler-certified staff employed by the business. Inspectors will request proof of valid training during routine inspections.

The course is also open to interested members of the general public. Food handler training certification is valid for five years. If you would like to obtain your food handler certification, re-certify, or write the exam, click on one of the drop-down areas below.
