Adult (22 and Over) Prenatal

Public health nurses cover many topics over four, two-hour classes, including:

  • Physical and emotional wellness in pregnancy
  • Breastfeeding
  • Baby care
  • Coping skills as a new parent
  • Safety
  • Contacting your health care provider during labour
  • Comfort measures for labour and delivery
  • Birth experience

Cost

$40 (per couple)

The Health Unit serves all the people in our community. For some, the cost of our programs may create a financial difficulty. If this is the case, please click on “request deferred payment” when you register.

To be eligible for a refund your cancellation must be received by the Health Unit one business day prior to your appointment or other scheduled event (Monday’s appointments must be cancelled by Friday).

Free parking is available behind the Brant County Health Unit (194 Terrace Hill St, Brantford).

When to Register

You can register at any time.  It is suggested you begin classes after your 20th week of pregnancy.

If you want to join our program but your best date is not available, please consider our e-learning program.
