Accelerated second dose appointment booking
for eligible groups
Accelerated interval second dose appointment booking is now open to:
- Adults aged 70+ (i.e., born in 1951 or earlier)
- *Individuals who received their first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccine
on or before April 18, 2021
*Individuals who received their first dose of AstraZeneca vaccine must wait eight weeks from when they received their first dose to book a second dose appointment. See more information.
Eligibility for accelerated second dose intervals will be checked on the appointment day. If you do not fit the above criteria and have rebooked your second dose, you will not receive a second dose vaccine on the appointment date.
Please use the booking tool below to schedule your vaccine appointment. Once a new date is selected and confirmed, the system will automatically cancel the previous second dose appointment, if you had one. Please note:
Existing extended interval vaccine appointments will still behonoured. Should you wish to keep your existing appointment at the extended interval, do not complete this form.
It is important to remember that getting the same vaccine for your first and second doses or getting a mixed schedule are both considered safe and acceptable options. Both schedules will count as a full series. If the same mRNA vaccine is not available due to vaccine supply, you will receive another mRNA vaccine to complete the vaccine series. BCHU will make every effort to provide individuals with the same vaccine that was administered to them for the first dose.
Eligible individuals may also receive their accelerated second dose appointment through select pharmacies and primary care settings participating in the vaccine rollout.
