Demographic Profile
This report provided the most recent demographic profile for Brant and
Ontario using the 2006 Census data by census division. There are two
sections to this report: population profile and socio-economic profile. The population profile
focuses on geographic location, population distribution, age and sex
structures, as well as the 25 year projected population growth. The socio-economic profile
presents immigration status, language, education level, income,
housing, employment and unemployment rates, industry types and
occupations, transportation modes to work, marital status and family
composition. This report provides a better understanding of the local
demographics, so that Brant County Health Unit programs and services
are based on current community needs.
