Grade 7 Hep B/ Men-C ACYW-135 Vaccine Campaign - Voluntary
Free vaccinations for Hepatitis B and Men-C ACYW-135 are offered to students in grade 7. The Hepatitis B vaccine is given in two doses (fall and spring), while the Men-C ACYW-135 vaccine is given in one dose.
 
The vaccines are given by Public Health Nurses in local schools in Brant County. Click here for the school schedule .
 
Students can also receive the vaccine from their doctor or by making an appointment at the immunization clinic at the Brant County Health Unit. If you choose to receive the vaccine from your doctor, then 3 doses are required. To book an appointment at the Health Unit call (519) 753-4937 ext 442.
 
 
Grade 8 Girls HPV Vaccine Campaign - Voluntary
Grade 8 girls are being offered the HPV Vaccine at no cost. The vaccine protects against 4 types of HPV which cause 70% of cervical cancers and 90% of genital warts. The vaccine is given in a 3 dose series (fall, winter, spring). 
 
The HPV vaccine is given by Public Health Nurses at participating schools in Brant County.  Click here to see the school schedule. If your grade 8 daughter missed the first two doses, it is not too late for her to receive the vaccine. Contact the Brant County Health Unit at the number below for more information.
 
Students can also receive the vaccine by making an appointment at the immunization clinic at the Brant County Health Unit. To book an appointment at the Health Unit call (519) 753-4937 ext 442. You will not be able to receive this vaccine from your doctor.
