What is TB?

TB (Tuberculosis) is a serious disease caused by germs that float in the air. TB usually attacks the lungs, but can also spread to other parts of the body. For more information on TB Click Here
 
What is the Brant County Health Unit doing?
The TB Program consists of activities designed to reduce the incidence of TB.
 
These activities include:
• Providing education regarding TB prevention and control
• Enforcing legislation designed to reduce the spread of TB
• Surveillance of TB in Brant County
• TB screening and contact-tracing
• Distribution of free medication for TB and patients follow-up
 
How can I get a TB Skin Test?
The Brant County Health Unit has a TB Skin Test Clinic. To book an appointment to get tested call (519) 753-4937 extension 448.
